Love this place for it's family ownership and the atmosphere that comes from that care and passion. My family is vegan and this place has lots of options for us.
Mmmmmm. Always delicious, and VERY reasonably priced. We love this place! I love how many vegan options there are too, we are not vegan, but we always appreciate a business who can provide good options for all different types of dietary needs. Highly recommend!
We hosted my graduation party at La Salita, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their event space and support. From start to finish, the staff was helpful, responsive, and incredibly kind. The buffet was ready right on time, the food was delicious (everyone raved about it!), and the space had just the right energy—warm, festive, and relaxed. La Salita offers a private event space for up to 40 people, and it was perfect for our group. It's also affordable for the quality and service you receive. Whether you're planning a graduation, birthday, family gathering, or baby shower- I highly recommend them. They have great food and drinks, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Our guests loved the margaritas especially. Huge thanks to the La Salita team for helping make our celebration so memorable!
I have been eating at La Salita fo over 50 years, and they have been my favorite restaurant. Their food and service have remained consistently outstanding! I now live elsewhere, but La Salita is my one must visit place to eat when I come back to Albuquerque to visit.
Today was my very first time going to this restaurant. Immediately upon entering I smelled some kind of sewage smell. It wasn't the smell of beans or tacos or enchiladas or any kind of food it smelled like an old bathroom smell. It's the only way I can describe it okay but when it came to the food I had the taco special excellent price it was very good I enjoyed my meal very much as for the service I had to get napkins myself I had to get the to-go boxes myself I had to track somebody down to get me a straw but other than that it was good Mexican
Good food, nice place, decent service. Had the Grand Tomas plate. That plate is not for small appetites. Came with a cheese enchilada, red pork tamale, ground beef burrito, chili relleno, beef taco, with beans and rice on the side. It was so big it arrived on 2 plates! I thought I had entered into an eating contest. It was delicious with good chili and plenty of flavor. Try it out I think you will like it.
From the tortilla chips to the green Chile turkey enchiladas with pinto and refried beans. Definitely a great value for family and friends.
This review is based on visits approximately from 30 years ago. If it still under same management, it's definitely very authentic new Mexican food. Portions were very good, whether you dined in or out. Service was spot on. Like I said, congratulations to Cindy and her Crew , if she's still running it.
